Wilson Ejeben Foundation Donates Educational Materials to Arhagba Primary School in Delta

By Henry UbusThe Wilson Ejeben Foundation made a significant contribution to education in Delta State today Tuesday 24/09/24 by donating writing materials worth thousands of naira to pupils and teachers of Arhagba Primary School in Ughelli South Local Government Area. The donation was met with widespread appreciation from school officials and community leaders.

Chief Freeborn Ayoma, Coordinator of the Wilson Ejeben Foundation in Ughelli South, and Comrade Henry Ubus, Media Officer of the foundation, led the distribution effort. They emphasized the importance of education, quoting Nelson Mandela: “Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world.” The foundation representatives also highlighted Double Chief Wilson Brume Ejeben’s commitment to educational development.

Mrs. Ohorho Grace, Headmistress of Arhagba Primary School, and Comrade Leo Akpowene Egbi, President of Arhagba Community, expressed their gratitude for the donation. They offered prayers for Chief Ejeben and called on other philanthropists to follow his example. The school officials also took the opportunity to highlight other pressing needs, including chairs and tables for teachers, toilets, a borehole for clean water, and fencing for the school compound.

The donated materials included registers, notebooks, erasers, pencils, pens, and markers, among other essential school supplies.

In a separate meeting, His Royal Majesty Dr. Mathew Egbi, the Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom, praised Chief Ejeben’s philanthropic efforts when visited by Comrade Ubus and Chief Ayoma at his residence in Arhagba. The monarch offered prayers for Chief Ejeben’s long life and protection, referring to him as “God-sent to mankind.”

This act of generosity by the Wilson Ejeben Foundation underscores the ongoing need for support in the education sector and highlights the positive impact that private philanthropy can have on local communities.
