Udu Kingdom PG, Uviejitobor Kick Starts Unifying Process; Appoints Iyasere As Personal Sec

The President-General of Union of Udu Communities in Udu Kingdom who doubles as the Honourable Commissioner for Oil and Gas in Delta State, Hon. (Chief) Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor, on Saturday kick-start the process of unifying the people in the kingdom by appointing Hon. Justice Iyasere as his personal secretary.
The capacity two term House of Assembly member, first held a maiden meeting with his UUC Transition Committee members where he highlighted the importance of coming together as one indivisible people of Udu Kingdom.
The former Lawmaker, Special Adviser and now Commissioner for Oil and Gas paid glowing tributes to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori (JP), Governor of Delta State for rescuing Udu Kingdom from a state of dilemma by putting the committee in place to usher in peace and unity.
He thanked Ovie of Udu Kingdom, HRM Delekpe for his fatherly role and understanding, stating that Udu unity is a task that must be done by all and said that all hands must be on deck to achieve the purpose the committee was setup.
The President-General of UUC expressed confidence on the ability of his Committee members to deliver on the mandate given to them to conduct elections of executive members of UUC within a short period of time and assured Udu people that they would justify the confidence reposed on them.
In the same vein, the Committee held a meeting with the Presidents/Chairmen of Udu Communities, where the President-General interacted with them on the need to work together with the UUC transition committee to restore Udu back to a lost glory.
Hon. Uviejitobor appealed to the communities Chairmen to embrace any suggestions that would lead to unity of Udu which in line with the MORE Agenda of this present administration and urged them to shun divisive tendencies of any disguise.
The Committee Secretary, Comr. Matthew Ogheneovo thanked the President-General for his proactive response to issues at hand, emphasizing that unification of Udu is achievable under the leadership of the Honourable Commissioner for Oil and Gas.
Responding on behalf of Forum of Presidents/Chairmen of Udu Communities, Evang. Emmanuel Kpomanefe, immediate past President of Ekete Community commended Udu President-General for the meeting and assured the committee of the total support of the forum.
High point of the meeting was the appointment of a renowned Journalist, former Vice Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Hon. Justice Iyasere as Personal Secretary to the Acting President-General of Union of Udu Communities by Hon. (Chief) Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor (JP).
