Ughele-Udu Pays Congratulatory Visit To Uviejitobor

…Thanks Gov. Oborevwori for recognizing capacity in Udu

Ukoko Ighele r’ Udu (Union of Udu Youths) in Udu Local Government Area on Sunday, paid congratulatory visit to the Delta State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Hon. (Chief) Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor for his appointment by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori (JP), Governor of Delta State.

During the visit at the residence of the Honourable Commissioner, Udu Youths led by Comr. Igho Onobrakpeyan disclosed that the executive of the youth body paid the visit to congratulate Hon.Uviejitobor for his political elevation as the Commissioner in Delta State.

In a statement signed by Comr. Igho Onobrakpeyan and Barr. Uwarah O. Helen, President and Secretary-General respectively which was made available to pressmen reads in part:

“We, the Executive members of Ighele -Udu, on behalf of the entire Ighele-Udu congratulate you on your well deserved appointment as the Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Delta State by the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. (Chief) Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori.

“Your appointment did not come to us as a surprise but as an answer to prayer for the recognition of the Udu people’s ability to contribute meaningfully to the development of both national and state affairs.

“We therefore use this opportunity to thank and appreciate Gov. Oborevwori for his interest and ability to recognise potentials and capacities and we specially thank him for recognizing such potentials and capacity in Udu”.

Ighele-Udu further described the appointment of Hon. Uviejitobor, who was a two -term House of Assembly member, Special Adviser and now, Commissioner for Oil and Gas as a square peg in a square hole.

The Honourable Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Hon. (Chief) Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor who was excited for the youths visit, commended them for the enduring peace and tranquility in Udu.

The Oil and Gas Commissioner assured them of the continous support of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s led administration towards youths in Delta State of which, Udu youths are inclusive.

Hon. Uviejitobor said that the Ministry of Oil and Gas through the MORE agenda of the present administration had been partnering with youth bodies across the state to foster collaboration between host communities and oil and gas companies for peaceful co-existence in Delta State.
