Udu NUT Pays Courtesy Visit, Congratulates Uviejitobor On His Appointment As Oil & Gas Commissioner

Udu LGA branch of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) on Saturday, paid courtesy visit to Hon. (Chief) ) Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor the Honourable Commissioner for Oil and Gas in Delta State.

The Udu branch Chairman of NUT, Comr. Gbejegbe J. Igholohemu said the Union was on the visit to formally congratulate the Oil and Gas Commissioner for his achievement, appointment and elevation from Special Adviser to Honourable Commissioner in the state.

He stated, “For and on behalf of the entire Teachers of Udu Local Government, we whole heartedly congratulate you on this rare level of achievement, appointment and elevation that is well deserved by you as a distinguished Lawmaker in the state who has served two consecutive terms in the Delta State House of Assembly.

“Udu NUT wishes to use this medium to thank our Excellency, Rt Hon. (Elder) Sheriff F. O. Oborevwori (JP) for appointing our Udu true son, Hon. (Chief) Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor (JP), first as Special Adviser to the state Governor and later the Honourable Commissioner for Oil and Gas.

“Our political leader, Hon. Uviejitobor, your latest appointment shows that you are leader with excellent qualities. For the period of 8 years in the Delta State House of Assembly, you brought the educational dividend of democracy to all the nooks and crannies of Udu Local Government Area, the Constituency you represented at the Delta State House of Assembly”.

The Honourable Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Hon. (Chief) Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor commended the educationalists for the visit, stating that the role of teachers in nation building can not be over emphasized.

Uviejitobor who explained the importance of the MORE agenda in advancing Delta State in this administration, assured Udu NUT that His Excellency, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori (JP) placed high premium on peace and security in the development of the state through the Ministry of Oil and Gas.
