LG Poll: Udu PDP Candidate, Oyibode Begins Campaign 

 

The Peoples Democratic Party candidate for the chairmanship of Udu Local Government Council in the forthcoming council elections in Delta State, Olorogun Vincent Oyibode, has started his campaign by pledging to MORE as The Unifier in the council area if elected.

The campaign team led by the Director General, Olorogun Henry Afure Sakpra,  first visited the Palace of Ovie of Udu Kingdom where HRM, Barr. B. E. O. Delekpe offered victory prayers to the incoming chairman of Udu local government council, Olorogun Vincent Oyibode and his entourage.

During a visit to Aladja, Ovwian, Owhase and Ekete wards with his campaign team, Olorogun Oyibode restated his commitment to uphold Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda for the local government area.

Olorogun Vincent Oyibode who was accompanied by his running mate, Mrs. Omovie Oputu Onajite Omojevwe unveiled development plan for Udu council which is inline with the MORE Agenda to Advance the council area.

He said that his priorities would be bringing night life back to Udu, fostering peace and unity, tackling security challenges headlong, building residential quarters for council chairman, vice chairman, secretary, leader of legislative arm among others.

Oyibode who promised to change the narrative in Udu, said that, “I will bring back what is called night life to Udu w”here we can be doing our businesses without security challenges.

“As a Commissioner of oil and gas in the state, I have score card, and in all the positions I ever occupied, I have my records of performance”.

Earlier, Director General of the campaign team, Hon. Sakpra who canvassed for votes for the PDP chairmanship candidate and all the 20 PDP councillors in Udu, stating that PDP is the only party that can rescue Udu people from the hardship occasioned by administration of APC led federal government in the country.

Udu PDP LGA Chairman, Rt. Hon. David Siloko who was excited over the turn out of party faithful and supporters, charged Udu voters to vote Olorogun Vincent Oyibode and all the councillors, come July 13.
