Security & Administrative Expert, John Uviejitobor Steps Up As Acting Chairman Of Chairmen in Udu Kingdom

In a significant leadership reshuffle, Engr. John O Uviejitobor has been appointed as the Acting Chairman of all Chairmen, known as Super-President of the Community President Forum in Udu Kingdom, signaling a new era of governance among the local communities. The appointment was confirmed during a congregative session at the Otor-Udu Community Town Hall on November 7, 2024, attended by community presidents and ruling house representatives.
Engr. Uviejitobor, who has been serving as the President of Orhuwhorun Town, will be joined by Pst. Great Nykugbe of Ujevwu Community as Secretary and Oghenechuko Paul of Oleri Community as the Public Relations Officer. This new leadership trio is set to steer the forum temporarily for one month during which they are tasked with overseeing forthcoming elections.
The decision, endorsed by 18 present out of 31 community presidents in Udu, also received the blessings of the 7 ruling houses in Udu Kingdom, underscoring a broad base of support for the newly appointed officials.
Upon accepting his new role, Engr. Uviejitobor expressed his gratitude towards the community leaders and the ruling houses for their trust and confidence. He emphasized his commitment to elevating the forum’s impact on regional development and maintaining the trust placed in the new leadership.
Outgoing Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Kpomalefe, was praised for his about six years of diligent service, having substantially contributed to the forum’s current stature and effectiveness. Engr. Uviejitobor also took the opportunity to extend his appreciation to key figures in Udu’s leadership, including HRM, E. B. O. Delekpe, Ovie of Udu, Hon. (Chief) Vincent Oyiborode, Udu Local Government Chairman and Hon. (Chief) Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor, Commissioner for Oil and Gas in Delta State, who doubles as President-General of Udu Kingdom.
With a promise to establish a robust constitutional framework, Engr. Uviejitobor and his team are poised to guide the Community President Forum towards achieving greater peace and development across Udu Kingdom.
